THE T.A.P. DIFFERENCE

Evidence—not guesswork.

At-home plates and isolated samples cannot explain why a condition exists. A licensed assessment connects the building, the moisture, and the test results so the findings lead to useful next steps.

A COMPLETE ASSESSMENT

More than a mold test.

The assessment considers the property as a system. Observations, moisture data, sampling, and written conclusions work together—not as disconnected pieces.

01

Visual Investigation

A methodical review of visible conditions, moisture indicators, building history, and the areas causing concern.

02

Moisture Evaluation

Moisture readings and relative-humidity observations help identify conditions that may support microbial growth.

03

Indoor Air Sampling

Indoor and outdoor air samples are collected when appropriate and submitted for professional laboratory analysis.

04

Surface Sampling

Targeted surface samples may be collected where visible suspect growth or specific conditions warrant testing.

05

Written Findings

A clear report connects observations, moisture data, and laboratory results with practical recommendations.

06

Clearance Assessment

Post-remediation evaluation documents visible conditions and appropriate testing after mold remediation work.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Clear steps.
Useful answers.

From the first conversation through the final report, the process stays focused on the conditions that matter.

  1. 01
    Discuss the concern

We learn what you have observed, where it is occurring, and any known moisture or water-intrusion history.

  2. 02
    Assess the property

We perform a visual, non-invasive evaluation and collect relevant moisture and humidity information.

  3. 03
    Sample when appropriate

Air or surface samples are selected based on the assessment and submitted for laboratory analysis.

  4. 04
    Review the findings

You receive a clear report connecting observations, results, and practical recommended next steps.

WHEN TO CALL

Don’t ignore the moisture signals.

Visible mold is not the only reason to investigate. Recurring moisture, odors, and water history can point to conditions worth evaluating.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Know what the assessment can—and cannot—tell you.

Do I need air samples?+

Not every concern requires air sampling. The property conditions should be assessed first so sampling is used purposefully and the results have useful context.

Are at-home mold test plates reliable?+

Settling plates can grow common environmental material but do not identify the moisture source, extent, or significance of a building concern. A professional assessment evaluates the property conditions first.

Do you perform mold remediation?+

T.A.P. Inspections provides independent mold assessment services. Keeping assessment separate from remediation helps ensure the findings and recommendations are not tied to selling cleanup work.

Can a mold assessment diagnose health symptoms?+

No. A mold assessment evaluates building conditions and laboratory findings; it does not provide medical diagnosis. Health concerns should be discussed with a qualified medical professional.
